The bride is the daughter of Donald and Abbie Fulghum of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of James Fulghum, the late Carol Speight, the late Roy Rogers Sr., and Arlene Rogers, all of Wilson. She graduated from Fike High School and attended Wilson Community College. She is an assistant teacher at Wee School Child Development Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Mike and Jackie Rhodes of Elm City. He is the grandson of Janice Summerlin and the late Jack Summerlin of Elm City and the late A.D. Rhodes and Mary Magdalene Rhodes of Wilson. He graduated from Fike High School and is employed by Kiddie Aerospace.
Escorted by her father, the bride chose for her wedding an embroidered satin gown with a beaded chiffon split front overlay. The gown featured cap sleeves and a chapel-length train.
She wore a fingertip-length, beaded veil with scalloped edging and carried a hand-tied bouquet of two dozen hot pink roses.
Matron of honor was Sarah Young of Wilson, sister of the bride. Anna Norris of Wilson and Jessica Bond of Clayton were bridesmaids.
The attendants wore black satin dressed with spaghetti straps. Grosgrain ribbons accented the empire waist.
Flower girls were Madison and Katlyn Fulghum, daughters of the bride, and Robin Parnell and Jessica Summerlin, cousins of the bridegroom.
The bridegroom's father served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mike Orlich of Clayton and Tyler Hudson of Elm City.
Ushers were Brett Young and Christopher Williams, both of Wilson.
J.J. Mitchell of Winston-Salem, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Register attendant was Tristian Perry, cousin of the bride.
Chandler Mitchell, cousin of the bride, was program attendant.
Becky Viverette directed the wedding.
Wedding music was provided by violinists Frances Nowell and Anna Jane Murray and cellist Sanda Hight.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the bride's parents in church fellowship hall.
On the eve of the ceremony, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
Since their return from a honeymoon in Williamsburg, Va., they are living in Elm City.
