James Kersey clipped Tarboro's Alejandro Ruiz 6-1, 6-0 to claim the singles championship. Eric Simmons-Trey Cash earned the doubles crown with a 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 decision against Greene Central teammates Colby Chase-Andrew Harrison.
All six Rams will play in this weekend's N.C. High School Athletic Association 2-A Mideast Regional tournament at Greene Central.
The Rams, ranked fourth in the N.C. High School Tennis Coaches 2-A poll, won the coin flip against Tarboro for the EPC's No. 1 seed. Greene Central will start NCHSAA 2-A dual-team playoff action at 4 p.m. Tuesday at home against Hillsborough Cedar Ridge.
