Newman-Mers

CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. -- Terri Mers and Troy Newman, both of Wilson, N.C., exchanged wedding vows April 4 in a beachfront ceremony in Clearwater Beach, Fla. Fred Allen officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Brenda and Willard Langley of Wilson, and Denny and Sharon Mers of The Villages, Fla. She graduated from Hunt High School and is employed by Anderson Law Firm.

The bridegroom is the son of William Newman of Vermont and Barbara Ward of Wilson. He graduated from Fike High School and is employed by Bridgestone/Firestone.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Monica Roberge of Palm Coast, Fla., sister of the bride.

Brooklynn Roberge of Palm Coast, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Trinity Roberge, also of Palm Coast, niece of the bride, served as ring bearer for the wedding.

Steve Roberge of Palm Coast, brother-in-law of the bride, was the best man.

A reception was hosted by the friends and family of the couple at the home of David and Lisa Tingen of Stantonsburg on April 19.

On April 2, Denny and Sharon Mers hosted a dinner party at their home in The Villages, Fla.

Since returning from their honeymoon at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, the couple is living in Wilson.
