Lauren Elizabeth Brown of Winston Salem is the daughter of Tom F. and Janet Brown of Wilson who announce her engagement to James Aaron Dean of Winston Salem, son of Allen and Dora Dean of Pickerington, Ohio. The bride is the granddaughter of Barbara Swaim and Eva Anderson, both of Elkin. The bridegroom is the grandson of Joy Dean of Carey, Ohio, and Dorothy Reese of New Kensington, Pa. A June 7 wedding is planned at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston Salem.
