Electric rates are a cry for voter action

I have just opened my latest light bill and it is $130 more than last month's, and I was gone for eight days with no one living in my house and the AC turned up to 85 degrees. I know people in other N.C. cities that their entire utilities bill isn't that much. I am now officially working just to pay my utilities bill and property taxes.

It has been written about and discussed enough, it is time the people of Wilson get their act together and vote the officials we have on the City Council and the County Board out. We have people in office worried more about their favorite piece of candy missing or if they are going to be fed supper at the taxpayers' expense than they are about the uncontrollable costs to live in this city.

The time for talk is over. Learn the names of the elected officials in your district and remember what they have done to you at the next election.
