BAILEY — William David Pittman, 74, died Sunday, April 29, 2012.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Shingleton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Stantonsburg Cemetery.
Mr. Pittman was preceded in death by a grandson, Patrick Kyle Pittman; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Mercer.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Lee Owens of the home; sons, Michael Pittman of the home and James Pittman and wife, Deborah, of Wilson; sister, Jean Walston and husband, Randolph, of Wilson; brother, Kenneth Pittman, and wife, Shirley, of South Port; grandchildren, Kimberly Pittman, Camey Pittman, and Dillon Pittman; brother-in-law, James Ray Owens and wife, Shirley, of Wilson; sister-in-law, Frances Mercer; nieces, Shelia Owens and Heather Mercer; nephews, Ray Owens, Brent Walston, Brian Walston, Josh Pittman, and Duane Pittman; aunt, Essie Durham; and uncle, Coon Pittman Jr.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 at Shingleton Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jean and Raldolph Walston, 1720 Westwood Ave., Wilson.
