MIDDLESEX – Nellie Gray Hocutt Price, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Friday. A native of Johnston County she was daughter to the late Cecil “Foxy” and Ava Hunter Hocutt. Nellie was a woman who let her love of her husband, children and family speak for itself in her life with them. She deeply loved them, to cook for them, and to just see them smile.
Funeral service 11 a.m. today, Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 48 years, the Rev. William Earl Price of Middlesex, children, Darrick Earl Price (Lynn) of Zebulon, Nelda Price Medlin (Del) of Bailey, brother, Thelbert Hocutt (Nellie) of Kenly, grandchildren, Christopher Earl Price (Carmen), Brandy Lee Hopkins, Caleb Medlin, Blake Price, great granddaughter, Abygail Price, and many nieces and nephews.
