KENLY — Mary Lee Peacock, 85, of 8728 N.C, 42 W., died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Wilson Medical Center.

She was born in Johnston County Sept. 26, 1926, to the late William Ruffin and Bertha Cockrell Davis.

Mrs. Peacock retired from Perdue and also worked for Autumn Home Health Care for 16 years.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at Creech’s Primitive Baptist Church. Elder D.B. Stokes and Elder Harold Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kenly Cemetery.

Survivors include brothers, Glenn R. Davis and wife, Velma and William H. Davis and wife, Mildred, all of Wilson, and Kenneth Davis and wife, JoAnn, of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Peacock; brothers, Selby Davis and Frank Davis; and sister, Montie Barnes.

The family will receive friends at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home in Kenly from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight.
