Joseph Tedder, 92, of Wilson passed away Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy. Interment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Larry Ball will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, and other times at 1710 Parkway St. W, Wilson.
Joseph served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked with the N.C. Dept. of Transportation.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Faye Litaker and husband, Bill, of Wilson; two sons, Jerry Tedder and wife, Carolyn, of Hookerton, and Wayne Tedder and wife, Wanda, of Wilson; three granddaughters; Stacy Swinson, Allison Vaughan and Chasity Pipkin; five grandsons, Thomas Dew, Justin Tedder, Matthew Tedder, Troy Tedder and Chad Pipkin; seven great-grandchildren, Katilyn Pipkin, Gabby Pipkin, Abigail Swinson, Brody Tedder, Lee Dew, Nicholas Johnson and Chance Vaughan; and his son-in-law, L.H. Pipkin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pearson Tedder; and his daughter, Patricia Ann Pipkin.
