James Howard Moore, 65, died Friday June 8, 2012, the son of the late Paul Moore and Bertie Mercer Moore. He was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy Moore and Tommy Moore. James is survived by sisters, Mary Davis and husband, William, of Black Creek, Margaret Moore of Wilson, and Paulette Owens and husband, Thomas Earl, of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law Susie Moore of Goose Creek, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. today at Thomas Yelverton Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Johnny Sullivan officiating. At other times the family will be at the home of Mary Davis, 5047 Community Grocery Road.
