Alfred Francis Hicks, 71, ended his battle with cancer July 20, 2012. He was born June 17, 1941 in Smithfield, and was raised in Wilson.
He served in the Marine Corps and retired from the Air Force. After retirement he worked for Northrop Corp. on the B-2 Program then with Boeing on International Space Station.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Hathaway Hicks; daughter, Jodie L. Key (Ronald) of Priceville, Ala.; and son, Jason C. Hicks (Sandra) of Oceanside, Calif.; grandchildren, Michael and Haley Bibb, Patricia, Ricky, and Brendan Hicks; and great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Nevaeh Hicks.
Mr. Hicks will be laid to rest at New Hope Baptist Church in Sumrall, Miss.
