Addie B. Battle, 84, of 637 New St., passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at Brown Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1507 Hadley St. Bishop Willie Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Ext., Wilson.
Ms. Battle is survived by one daughter, Deloris Jean Thomas of Wilson; one grandson, Andre Riggins of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will take place Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro Street, SW., Wilson. Family and friends will meet 12:30 pm on Saturday at the church in preparation of the funeral service.
