Tuesday, March 24, 2009 10:11 AM Town Talk SHARPSBURG Sharpsburg commissioners will be holding a work session Wednesday to review a proposed town employee personnel policy. Town administrator Robert Masters said commissioners will review the 148-page personnel policy, the town's first ever. The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at the town hall on Railroad Street. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 252-446-9441. NASHVILLE Residents who visit the Nash County government Web site will find a pleasant change. The "splash page" for the new Nash County government Web site is up, Webmaster Steve Lawrence said, and the rest of the new site will unfold in the coming weeks. A "splash page" is a pre-home page front page to a Web site. Lawrence said the new Web site uses DotNetNuke, a free content management system that will allow the site to be dynamic, giving various county departments the option of updating their pages. As the site develops, it will contain other interactive elements like calendars and options for submitting feedback. Lawrence said the site was designed with the help of Web company Venexus and cost about $6,000 to produce. NASH COUNTY Nash Health Care was recently ranked one of the safest hospitals in the country for the sixth year in a row, according to a Nash Health Care Systems media release. The study also listed Nash Health Care as one of the top 10 best hospitals in North Carolina in several areas. Business North Carolina Magazine, which did the study, ranked Nash Health Care as the only hospital in the state to be a top-10 provider in the areas of clinical excellence, critical care, orthopedic care and stroke care.
