NASH COUNTY

As part of its effort to provide free cancer screenings, and in conjunction with National Colorectal Cancer Month, Nash Health Care Systems this month and early April is sponsoring free colorectal cancer screenings.

Nash Health Care is offering free fecal occult blood test kits to anyone aged 45 to 75 that can be picked up at the Nash Cancer Treatment Center at Nash Day Hospital and the HealthFirst Wellness Center at Community Medical Plaza. Kit tests must be mailed by April 15, and lab results are mailed to participants.

The Wellness Center is at 1051 Noell Lane in Rocky Mount, and the Treatment Center is at Nash Day Hospital at 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive in Rocky Mount.

 

SHARPSBURG

Sharpsburg commissioners have decided when they will interview and consider applicants for the town finance officer position.

Commissioners will meet March 31 at 5:15 p.m. at the town hall on Railroad Street to interview and consider applicants for the position. The meeting is open to the public.

Anyone interested in getting a copy of the agenda items can call the town office at 252-246-9441.
