Thursday, July 02, 2009 2:29 PM Kenly hosting July 4th celebration By Antonio Velarde | Times Staff Writer KENLY -- Area residents who want some fun on the Fourth of July will be able to enjoy games, prizes and a fireworks display in Kenly. The Kenly Recreation Soccer Complex will be host to this year's July 4th celebration beginning at 6 p.m. The event is free. Beginning at 6 p.m., children's inflatables and a rock wall will be open, with Creech's DJ Service providing music. Later that evening, Big Dawg from 98.5 FM will arrive, and the radio station will be broadcasting live from the event. There will also be a drawing for prizes and Patrick's will be selling carnival concessions. The fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. The event is being put on by the Town of Kenly, the Kenly Area Chamber of Commerce and other local businesses and organizations, said Paul Durham, president of the chamber. |

Thank-you Wilson paper for telling us this. Our Kenly paper online didn't even print a story about the towns activities. Imagine that!!!
