"With a sound all their own and a stage show to match, Bombadil is one of the freshest bands to emerge in a long time. Formed by Bryan Rahija, Stuart Robinson, and native Wilsonian brothers John and Daniel Michalak, the group began in Bolivia, where Daniel and Bryan met. Their experiences in the region lit a creative spark, leading the two to write songs incorporating international instruments and styles. After injecting their own instincts based in Piedmont blues, psychedelic rock, and Robinson's background in classical piano, the group composed a batch of songs that range from straightforward rock to raucous marches. Though their imaginations carry them far and wide, ultimately, the focus of Bombadil will always be the songwriting--with the endearing character of their songs letting the band carry a room whether there are fifty instruments on stage or just a single guitar and voice." Chris grew up in Nashville, North Carolina, listening to his dad's country and his uncle's rock 'n' roll. He taught himself how to play the guitar. He started writing in his teens and has recorded a few acoustic tracks that can be heard on his MySpace page. He is returning to the studio soon to record new tracks and put together an album. Look for new music soon!!! He is also working on forming a band.

While the band continuously works to evolve its sound, several brief tours for limited Fall dates throughout the Eastern and Central parts of the US have road-tested new material & overwhelmingly kicked the door down entering into 2008.
