Kathryn Brooke Hall of Wilson and Jonathan Lee Pope of Sims were united in marriage Saturday at Farmington Heights Church of God. The Rev. Joseph LaVon Phillips and the Rev. David Reginald Kriger officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anthony Hall of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wright Rhodes, Barbara Moore Hall, and Donald Earl Hall, all of Wilson. She graduated from Hunt High School and received an associate's degree in dental hygiene from Wayne Community College.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Marvin Pope of Sims. He is the grandson of Annie Lee Sullivan of Sims and the late Roger Washington Sullivan, and Ruby Godwin Pope of Wilson and the late Perry Marvin Pope. He graduated from Hunt High School and from the Wilson Fire Academy. He is pursuing a degree in fire/science technology from Wilson Community College and is a firefighter for the City of Wilson.

Escorted by her father, the bride chose for her wedding a formal gown of diamond white satin fashioned with a halter neckline. Floral embroidery featuring pearls, seed beads and sequins decorated the fitted bodice and A-line skirt, which flowed into the semi-cathedral train.

The bride chose as her headpiece a crown of fresh water pearls, Austrian crystals and Swarovski crystals. A two-tier veil of silk illusion with scalloped edging was trimmed with seed beads and crystals.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink peonies, sophie light pink roses, pink and white stock, green dendrobium orchids, white stephanotis, and green berries. The stems were wrapped with French white sheer ribbon with pearl heads going down the stem. Her great-grandmother's lace handkerchief was wrapped around the stems of the flowers.

Maid of honor was Cameron Ashley Howell of Wilmington, cousin of the bride.

Jennifer Craft Pope of Wilson, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Stacey Walston Cooper of New Bern, Regan Boyette Dawson of Timberlake, Christy Cox Elliott of Grimesland, Jennifer Rose Hawley of Lucama, Brooke Lamm Hovis of Wilson, Melissa Nicole Renfrow of Sims, Ashley Holland Simpson of Wilson, and Cristin Brooks Thompson of Durham.

The attendants wore chocolate satin charmeuse A-line gowns with a twist cross over the back and shirred waistline.

Jensen Elizabeth Hall of Wilson, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a light ivory iridescent taffeta dress with a sleeveless bodice. The dress featured an attached chocolate satin sash and flowers with a full ruched skirt.

The bridegroom's father served as best man.

Groomsmen were William Hunter Barnes of Sims; Jonathan Ryan Beamon of Stantonsburg; Travis Alan Hall of Greenville, brother of the bride; Roger Hue Howell of North Port, Fla., cousin of the bridegroom; Danny Matthew Pope of Wilson, brother of the bridegroom; Christopher Michael Radford of Wilmington; Jonathan Tyler Schultze of Kenly; William Jason Schultze of Clayton; and Timothy Brooks Webb of Stantonsburg.

Bible bearers were Tyler Allen O'Neal of Kenly, cousin of the bridegroom, and Thomas Sullivan Pope of Wilson, nephew of the bridegroom.

James Thomas Davis of Smithfield was the ring bearer.

Register attendants were Amanda Dawn Howell, Jennifer Paige Medlin, and Joshua Ryan Howell, cousin of the bride.

Program attendants were Brittney Noel Howell and Victoria Lynell Hall, cousins of the bride.

Teresa Dixon Pope, the bride's cousin, directed the wedding.

Wedding music was provided by vocalists Frederick Jurdon Coleman and Michele Watson Thurman; vocalist and saxophonist Rev. Timothy Spencer Hurt; and pianist Ryan Christopher Godwin.

Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride and bridegroom hosted a reception at The Strickland Farm.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Hall, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Earlier in the day, a bridal breakfast was held at the home of Sherry Hall Howell, aunt of the bride. Hostesses were Sherry Hall Howell and Karen Oliver Johnson.

Following their return from a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Sims.

* Dec. 8, 2007 -- A Christmas shower was hosted by Stacey Cooper, Regan Dawson, Brooke Hovis, Nicole Renfrow, and Ashley Simpson at the home of Ashley Simpson.

* Dec. 9, 2007 -- Glenn and Marie Davis and Brett and Cathy Renfrow hosted a social and Christmas shower at the Davis home.

* April 20 -- Family and friends hosted a shower at St. Mary's Free Will Baptist Church in Kenly.

* May 4 -- Family and friends hosted a shower at Farmington Heights Church of God in Wilson.

* May 10 -- A lingerie shower was held at the home of the bride. Hostesses were Christy Elliott, Jennifer Hawley and Cristin Thompson.

* May 31 -- A "His and Hers" shower was hosted by Joey and Dawn Hall, Mike and Sherry Hall, and Keith and Sherry Howell, uncles and aunts of the bride, at the home of Mike and Sherry Hall.
