Engagements
Whitaker-McLamb With their parents, Jennifer Ann McLamb and Marcus Alexander Whitaker are pleased to announce their engagement. The bride is the daughter of Rita Robbins of Chapel Hill and Dr. and Mrs. Sam McLamb Jr. of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam McLamb Sr. of Smithfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Robbins Sr. of Rutherfordton. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. J. Allen Whitaker of Wilson. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. Allen Whitaker of Rocky Mount, the late Robert H. Protz of Sarasota, Fla., and the late Mrs. Robert H. Protz of Sarasota and Wilson. The wedding is planned for June 28th in Charlottesville, Virginia. The couple will be residing in Hickory, N.C.
