Leahy-Mercer Kate Ann Mercer of Raleigh is the daughter of Donald and Vikki Mercer of Goldsboro who announce her engagement to Sean Patrick Leahy of Raleigh, son of Joseph and Rosanne Leahy of New Bern. The bride is the granddaughter of Edwin "Bud" Best and the late Eva "Duck" Best of Goldsboro and Estelle Mercer and the late Claude Mercer of Wilson. The bridegroom is the grandson of Raymond and Frances Vickery of New Bern and the late Robert and Freda Leahy of Binghamton, N.Y. The wedding is June 14 at St. Joseph United Methodist Church in Pikeville.
